1. What is MAAD?

MAAD stands for Market of Artists and Designers, a place to sell/buy your creative works. We also have exhibition spaces, and performance area.

3. Where is MAAD?

Nearest MRT station is 0.15km away. Take the East West Line (green) and stop at "Tanjong Pagar" (EW15)

If you are taking a taxi, please tell the driver to go to red dot traffic or former traffic police headquarters at Maxwell Road.

4. How to be MAAD?
To Participate, email us at ask@maad.sg with…
1. Artist or designer name and contact number
2. Month/s of participation
3. Participation scheme (1 MAAD, 3 MAAD or 6 MAAD)
4. Pictures and description of the creative works/creative services or performance
(2nd hand goods & clothes, imported & traded goods are strictly not allowed.)

We will get back to you on booth reservation status within 5 days, confirmation of your participation is strictly by payment.

 

5. What are the work/service participation criteria for MAAD?
Your idea/artwork/creation/products must be your original idea.

6. Are there any productions prohibited for sale?
Participant is fully responsible to ensure that all works presented and sold at MAAD comply with copyright, censorship and Singapore laws.

7. How do I know if I can join MAAD?
Refer to Q5, if you are not sure, email us at ask@maad.sg, we will get back to you within 5 working days.

8. I'm certified MAAD! What's next?
Stall holders are encouraged to creatively decorate their stalls and be set apart from the rest, [http://www.flickr.com/photos/maadsunday/

9. How do I confirm my booking?
By paying rent to us by the 25th of each month.

10. I'm a repeat stall holder, what shall I do?
You are still required to email us to register and make payment by 25th of every month. Alternatively, you may pay in advance during current month at MAAD for the following month participation.

11. Participation fees?
Stall space (1.8m x 2m floor space )
6 x MAAD - $90 per MAAD weekend
  (in 6 consecutive months)
3 x MAAD  - $120 per MAAD weekend
  (in 3 consecutive months)
1 x MAAD-$180 per MAAD weekend

20% discount for first time participation.
Peak month-Chinese New Year, July, Nov and Dec
  
20% surcharge for 1 x MAAD participation.
Exhibition space (individual cubicle)
  @ $150 per weekend.

12. What MAAD provide?
1 table + 2 chair (for every stall)
 - red floor area table size: 0.9 x 0.9m
 - inside museum : 1.2m x 0.6m; 1.8m x 0.6m;
1 clothes rack

Stall Location
Stall space is confirm only upon received of payment,   on a first come first serve basis.
Red floor area at the museum entrance:
   for all new comer or non-curated stall.
Inside the museum: stall with unique creation
   and presentation.

  13. I like to create new works/ products/ offers. Can I sell them at MAAD?
We do encourage everyone to continue creating new works, venturing with new materials or type of goods. However, participant is required to update and seek for organizer approval prior to each MAAD.


14. What about GastroMAAD application?

1. name and contact number
2. Month of participation
3. A soft copy of your food license.
4. Photos and a description of your products.

15. Is parking available?
Parking is available at the car park behind the red dot design traffic building.

 

16. Is storage available?
Stall holders may keep their goods within the museum after closing up on Saturday evening. Storing of goods in the museum can only start from 7pm onwards. The organizer reserves the right to reject the storage of any products that is deemed unsuitable. The organizer and museum management will not be held responsible for any lost or damage of stallholders’ goods.

17. I love to be at MAAD regularly! Am I entitled to rental discount?
We wish to do that but unfortunately we are charging the lowest rate we could to sustain this platform.

  Publicity and promotion

18. Why are only certain participants being featured on MAAD website?
The featured on MAAD website is a form of encouragement and appreciation of people who has been persistently pursuing their passion in creating their works. We would like to give our support and maximum exposure to them.

19. I want to contribute, what should I do?

20. I have new series of designs or works, how can I publish them?
Channel 1:
MAAD blog: post it up, we will cheer for you.
Channel 2:
MAAD flickr, tell us and send us the material 1 month in advance.
Channel 3:
MAAD Market Facebook group and event page. Email us the photo and text at least one week prior to MAAD days.
